    LA County’s only legal off-leash ocean beach: a roughly 3-acre marked Dog Zone of open surf and sand in Belmont Shore. Dogs run leash-free in the water and on the sand between Granada and Roycroft Avenues.

    Seasonal off-leash: all day under voice control from the day after Labor Day through June 15; in summer, off-leash only dawn–8 AM, then on-leash (≤ 6 ft). Dogs must wear a license.
